There will be an open house at Vishnu Springs on Sunday, October 15, 2017 from 11:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. This is the only time that you will have permission to visit the site as it is a "No Trespassing" Property. To access the site on Oct. 15th, take the Blandinsville / Tennessee Blacktop either: North off Rt 136 from Tennessee OR South off Rt. 9, east of Blandinsville. At 1100N, turn WEST and follow the road a couple miles until it turns south. You will see the signs for Vishnu at the next curve in the road. There will also be directional signs off of 1100N.

I lived there and got married to my roommate there in 1974. Actually, we got married in the local church in Tennesee, IL. and had our small reception at our home, Vishnu Springs. My 41 year old daughter was conceived there.

VISHNU SPRINGS OPEN HOUSE 2015 - Mark your calendar. SUNDAY, OCTOBER 18th, 2015, 10:00AM to 4:00PM. We are again having an open house at Vishnu Springs, weather permitting, on Sunday October 18th from 10AM until 4PM. There will be a brief informative talk on the history of Vishnu, down at the hotel at 1:00PM. There will also be Interesting artifacts and diagrams on display. There is a fair amount of walking involved in getting to the site from the parking area, as well as a very steep hill to negotiate. We advise everyone to wear substantial shoes. A handicap Parking area and assistance getting to the site will be available. In the case of inclement weather, rain or muddy conditions, the event will be cancelled, and will not be rescheduled this year. We hope to see all of you down by the Capitol Hotel!
